our Best Vacation Ever

Absolute paradise! We have just returned from a gloriously sunny and relaxing two week vacation in Mexico. We travel to Mexico for our anniversary every May and this time, we decided to venture to a new part of the country. You see, it’s always been a dream of mine to go deep sea fishing (as you may or may not know, Andy and I both love to fish) so it only made sense to set our sights on a popular fishing destination. Enter: the Baja. We spent the better part of our two weeks in a quaint little town called Los Barriles, located half way between La Paz and Los Cabos on the East Cape. We stayed in Villas De Cortez, a wellappointed 5 storey condo literally steps from the sea. Many early mornings, I would take my tea out on our deck and watch all the fishing boats getting ready to set out for the day. It was so much fun to watch. almost as equally enjoyable as watching them come in later in the day with their respective catches. It was cool to learn what all the different flags on the boats meant. Back to the resort. our caretaker, Pedro, was amazing and took such good care of us. He brought us some of his homemade tamales one day they were unbelieveable!! Talk about ‘true’ Mexican fare!
